new music: Elasea

Today, I have some new music for you from Berkshire based alt-rock four piece Elasea. The band are set to release their debut EP this summer and as the build up to that really starts to intensify, I thought it was only right to feature these guys on here.

The above track is the first single, ‘Lost In The Dark’ taken from the EP, which was released recently via Punktastic.com. With it’s calming start, the track builds up into a fast packed, rock tinged track with pounding drums and a guitar line that switches from deep and chugging to high pitched with soaring notes. The chorus is full of melodies that sway along to the vocal delivery which ebbs and flows perfectly throughout. A really impressive and wonderful listen.

The debut EP is entitled ‘Where I Belong’ and is set to be released on 3rd August, the release contains a variety of musical influences taking in a bit of everything from InMe to Mallory Knox and Lower Than Atlantis. It is an EP that is surely set to impress many and will see the band grow further.

Here is what bassist Liv Jones had to say about the EP; “From the new EP you can expect lots of different influences from all of us… We would like the EP to reach as many people as possible, we want to gig as much as we can so we can then begin the process of a full length album.”

When the quartet first started out, they were a local cover band making a name for themselves through playing local shows and releasing a variety of videos on YouTube gaining hits of over 20,000. Over the past year, the band have been featured on BBC Introducing which really helped the band reach a new and bigger audience.
