Today, I’m bringing you some new music from acoustic musician Andrew Cream. The acoustic punk/folk singer/songwriter has recently released his new album ‘Self Portrait’. You can check out the first single from the album ‘The Final Straw’ below.
An acoustic guitar driven track from the very first chords, this one is full of wonderful, gentle melodies. In come the vocals, full of harmonies with a defiant and confident delivery. The guitar strums and drum beats quicken becoming infectious to behold as the tempo shifts from gentle to almost danceable. The catchy melodies, storytelling sing-along vocals and flowing nature of the track make this one a memorable single. Bound to be stuck in your head for a long time, this is one that will be a favourite of many.
After started out his touring career at the age of 15, Andrew Cream is no stranger to the music scene. As a part of The Ruined, a band made up of various members of Peterborough acts, Andrew toured around the UK and Europe. After parting ways, Andrew headed to university in Manchester and set out alone. Unfortunately, hating playing solo at first, he perservered and to great success.
Great catchy tracks and relentless touring have served Andrew well to date. He gained a slot at prestegious Florida festival, The Fest in 2015 and clearly impressed as he will be back again in September. The full length album is his debut and a collection of 8 tracks. Needless to say, it is exciting times in his camp with the new release to promote.
The UK and European tour has finished but there is that one American date set for September. However, keep an eye on this guy, there is plenty more to come from him soon.
