Today, I’m bringing you some new music from Lancashire alt-rock quartet Honeyspider. They have recently released their debut single ‘Safe Haven’, which you can check out for yourself below.
The single is a grungy, psychadelic offering from the very first chords. Swirling, hollow guitar chords bring us into this one wonderfully. As we progress through ‘Safe Haven’, we meet lethargic vocals that lament their vocal delivery. These sit alongside pounding drums and crashing cymbals which seem to have the most energy. The slowed down, trippy nature harks back to the early 90’s and the focus is on murky notes delivered with a seeming lack of enthusiasm. It is a very good song offering a wealth of promise from Honeyspider for what is yet to come.
The band may not have been around for long but they constantly look out for shows in their area. They have already amassed a decent fanbase, all of whom clearly love their music. This four piece show determination to make their name known here and further afield. If you are a fan of the likes of Citizen, Basement, Title Fight and Turnover, then you will most definitely be wanting to check Honeyspider out ASAP.
