Today I’m bringing you some new music from electronic artist Esther Joy Lane. Having played her first ever gig in January 2015, this girl has come a long way since then gathering followers as she goes. You can check out her debut self-titled EP below:
The above EP is a brilliant snapshot of this artists music and the influences she has drawn from modern music and past sources. With catchy, building melodies, great rhythms and a great vocal tone that easily spans the spectrum from high to low, it makes for some brilliant listening. The atmospheric edge that runs throughout is a great addition taking the edge off the catchiness and making this less pop-py and more alt meets grunge pop. A really wonderful collection of songs.
This Oxford musician seems bound to become a favourite of many after such a great and successful 2015 that culminated in her EP being named in The Revue’s Top EP’s of 2015 List. With great style, a good dose of attitude and brilliant tracks, it seems like 2016 could really be Lane’s year for concurring even more in the music world, look out for more from this great artist.
