Today, I’m bringing you some new music from Leeds five piece Fizzy Blood. The band have recently released their brand new single ‘I’m No Good’ taken from their new EP ‘Feast’ and you can check out the track below:
The track is a great rock and roll one from the off with quick guitar strums and a catchy yet steady rhythm created by those determined drum hits. When it comes to the choruses things become absolutely infectious with oscillating shreeching guitar chords and a jazzy feel underpinning everything. Vocally, we have harmonies throughout the choruses and in the verses you really get a great taster of the rock and roll swagger coming from those rich and almost suave vocal chords. The calmer, flowing middle eight gives a breather from all the dancable rhythms and rock afflictions that have littered the track. That is before we build back up into one final and huge hurrah, finishing off this one utterly perfectly.
Drawing their inspirations from bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and Pulled Apart By Horses, these guys have the leather clad, cast iron spirit of a true rock and roll band. Fizzy Blood is a name truly apt for a band who’s live shows have been described as explosive and gutteral and are known for causing a stir.
The band earned plenty of attention earlier this year with the release of their EP ‘Feast’, which was well recieved and well reviewed with Kerrang having this to say about it; “A superb debut…one fizzy, blood-y brilliant introduction”. The band are now on the release of their third single which dropped on 13th November and was limited to just 300 copies on vinyl.
Having supported The Dead Kennedy’s in the past, they band have followed up their latest release with a headline UK tour which finished with a trip to Korea after being invited to play at Zandari Festa. Make sure you keep an eye on these guys over the next few months because there are surely more big things to come with them.
