As you know, I’m a big fan of Callaghan and her wonderful music and so it was only right that I featured her on her again to talk about her new single and a UK tour that will be taking place at the beginning of November.
Her new single is entitled ‘When You Loved Me’ and is taken from her successful album ‘History of Now’ which was released earlier this year. This is the first ballad to be taken from the album and this one tackle the theme of first love and the what if’s we all have after that relationship has ended. As I said back in May when I reviewed the album this track features “soft and fragile vocals that rise and fall to the ebb and flow of the piano”. It is a track that leaves you in awe of the sheer beauty and emotion so obvious to behold throughout. A truly wonderful track.
After plenty of touring this year in support of the album, Callaghan has also received plenty of support not only from fans but from radio and press all over the country, particularly Radio 2 who added her to two of their playlists. After a summer playing some of the festivals in the UK, Callaghan will be back this Winter for a few more dates, this time more intimate performances.
The tour kicks off in Bristol at The Old Bookshop on 2nd, takes in London, Manchester and Preston, before finishing up in Birmingham at Hare and Hound on 8th. It’s a short tour but it should be a good one and if you can get tickets then make sure you go and check her out, it’ll be nothing short of a great night.
