Recently, I featured London Singer/Songwriter Jake Morley on here talking about his new single ‘Allegorical House’.
When I reviewed the single I had this to say about it; “The track is a great indie masterpiece with catchy rhythms, great intertwining melodies and the calming vocal harmonies running throughout setting the pace of the track perfectly. Where verses are soft and flowing, the choruses follow only picking up pace and volume slightly through gang style backing vocals which add a fullness to the sound. The track builds into a beautifully wonderful one full of pleasant notes and sing along lyrics. It is a great and impressive first peek into the sound on the new album.”
After the release of that single, sights surely turn to albums and Morley is set to release his second album ‘The Manual’ at the beginning of 2016. The album itself is currently available to pre-order via his Pledge Music page where you can claim some unusual extras including creating a Signature BrewBeer, guitar lessons and original artwork from first album ‘Many Fish To Fry’.
For the very near future though, Morley will be off on tour this month starting out in Manchester at The Castle on 4th and finishing up in Ipswitch at St Peter’s by the Waterfront on 23rd. For local readers of my blog, he will be playing The Rocking Chair in Sheffield on 7th October so make sure that you get down to that if you can!
