This Week #14

My boyfriend cooked a lovely roast dinner last Sunday / Finally baked a Lemon and Poppy Seed cake this week after months of wanting to make it, it was worth the wait

Finally coming out of the end of a cold this week has given me a new lease of life to get stuff done. As I’ve said before September is a time to reassess and get things done before Winter rolls round and nothing really gets done because Christmas takes precedent for everyone. From sorting out my possessions to deep cleaning my room, making plans for my writing, coming up with lists and schedules to work through and updating my CV, finally, it has been a busy week from start to finish.

I love a productive September, it sets me in good stead for the Winter I think and really finishing the big jobs that we promise to get done at the start of each and every Summer. The only thing I still need to start is Christmas shopping because let’s face it, no one likes the rush of last minute Christmas shopping.

Away from all that though, I’ve really been enjoying making more headway through the Game of Thrones series which just seems to get better and better with every book. I’ve also become a huge fan of the whole adult colouring trend, who knew sitting and colouring for half an hour could be so relaxing and satisfying when you’ve finished your new masterpiece. I think it is safe to say that I love colouring! I’m still on the lookout for a new hobby to take up this Autumn though, any ideas would be much appreciated.

What I’ve Been Listening To:

Paolo Nutini – One Day

Biffy Clyro – Black Chandelier

The Chemical Brothers – Go

In case you missed it, you can check out this week’s tracks of the week #116

What I’ve Been Reading:

– Some good advice for being less stressed by Viv Groskop in The Pool this week. Writing down or saying 3 good things that have happened, especially at work, will apparently make you a lot less stressed, something I think we can all give a try throughout the week.
