English Mojito Cocktail from Craft & Dough / Beetroot and Goat’s Cheese pizza from Craft & Dough / Made myself a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on Sourdough with Sweet Potato Wedges this week, it was delicious / Just finished reading Us by David Nicholls, it is a spectacular read! / Discovered some awesome looking buildings around the Kelham Island area of Sheffield last weekend / Homemade Falafel, Halloumi and Houmous pittas
After a busy few weekends, this one was a lot more chilled out and I totally appreciated that. As much as I love doing things, seeing friends and having fun, it is sometimes nice just to relax a bit and take life at a slower pace. After a chilled out Friday night, me and my boyfriend went out for lunch at Craft & Dough on Saturday afternoon. It was a lovely little lunch spot and perfect on the beautifully sunny day we were having in Sheffield. Saturday night, I stayed in watching films with wine and chocolate and truly taking some time to myself for the first time in a long time.
The last two weeks have been great for me in terms of writing and bringing this blog a little bit more up to date than it has been for a while. I’ve had a lot more ideas to work on and the writing seems to have been coming to me a lot easier than it had been doing for a couple of months before. I think taking the pressure off myself a little bit and not forcing myself to write helped a lot, that coupled with reading a lot more blogs, articles and books. I’m glad I’m out of my writing slump and now I can fully focus on finishing off all the projects I’ve started and get started on some brand new ideas.

What I’ve Been Reading:
– A great article on The Pool’s website all about how wanted to be liked and saying yes to everything won’t necessarily earn you respect. This is definitely something I need to take into consideration, doing less for other’s when I don’t really need to.
– Another great piece from The Pool, this time about how to deal with negative thoughts. The idea sounds quite Americanised and something I’d never normally do but I think it could be something to try particularly when my mind seems to have a never-ending supply of negative thoughts.
– The brilliant From Roses has put together a post all about clean eating and some easy tips on how to start out on the whole clean eating thing without all the daunting recipes and posts that can put many off. I’m planning on making a few changes to my diet and exercise plan soon so I think this is a good place to start so I can reassess just exactly what I should be focussing on now healthwise.
