So last weekend was my boyfriend’s birthday and over the weekend just gone we went out for a pub crawl through the day on Saturday. With all his friends coming over to Sheffield, we started out around 3pm at the Station before heading over to The Broadfield on Abbeydale Road and then making our way slowly but surely back into the city centre while stopping off at quite a few pubs and bars. It was a great day and a lovely trek through some great pubs, ones I’ve visited before and some I hadn’t. By the time we got back into the city centre it was 8pm and as luck would have it, Peddler Market was on this weekend so we headed over there for some lovely street food and a couple of drinks. It was a really great day and a lovely way to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday.
The rest of the week has been a mass of chores and work and everything in between. As things start to get a little hectic at home, this here blog may have to take a slight back seat. I’ll work as hard as I can on it and try to post as much as possible but I can’t promise the standard of posting 6/7 days a week anymore until things get back to normal. I hope you can all bear with me through this time though as your readership is important to me and also pretty damn awesome.
However, I did manage to attend a gig this week as me and my boyfriend went to see The War on Drugs at Sheffield Academy. I bought him the tickets for his birthday and I’m pretty sure I was just as excited about the prospect of the gig as he was as I absolutely adore these guys. The show was amazing, just really really brilliant, as was to be expected really. The whole atmosphere, stage shows, lights and the music worked perfectly and created such a great moment that lasted the entire set. Go see them now if you get the chance!

What I’ve Been Reading:
– This great piece on The Pool’s site about dropping the word ‘just’ from our conversations especially at work. This is something I’m so guilty of doing and really need to stop putting that word in emails or in my spoken conversations.
– A great and quite inspiring post from Zoe London on Always Being Grateful.
– A very, very interesting read on The Pool’s website about depression and the case of a Belgian twenty-something woman who suffers from depression who has been granted the right to end her life.
