The track is a soft, acoustic one with oscillating chords backing up the chorus in the first verse building up to a rock and roll style chorus with gritty vocals and quick, defiant guitar strums. Through the quieter whispered first verse and those louder and bigger choruses, Weston’s voice remains full of great harmonies that dance around the notes of the guitar absolutely perfectly. A strikingly brilliant track.
From plenty of gigging came a decent following as well as accolades including being named one of Yorkshire Post’s 10 Ones To Watch in 2013 as well as winning that Yorkshire Unplugged competition too. With plenty of great reviews for his music and his most recent five track EP 2013’s ‘Maps’ everything was all set up for Kid Conventional to become an even bigger name to even further afield.
The new single will be released on 18th April and is a great follow up to his previous works.
