Dress – New Look / Duster Coat – New Look / Heels – George at Asda / Hat – Topshop / Bag – Olivia & Joy / Necklace – H&M
Spring is on its merry way and this makes me very happy. I hate winter, I’m cold pretty much all year round and winter in the north of England is an absolute killer for me so Spring is more than a welcome arrival. Plus, Spring means my birthday is just round the corner, good because I love cake and presents but bad because I will officially be in my mid-twenties in less than two weeks! Not sure how that even happened if I’m being honest.
Anyway onto the outfit, this is an outfit that will easily see me through many days of Spring and for good reason. The dress is a new purchase from New Look and I absolutely adore it. I picked it up in the sale for a mere tenner and I know for a fact this will be a dress that I’ll be wearing all year round from summer with bare legs and sandals to winter with thick tights, big boots and huge parkas. Here though I’ve paired it with a longline duster coat and some new sensible but lovely heels; an outfit that perfectly toes the line between smart and chic with a hint of school girl and casual meets thrown together. Essentially my favourite components of an outfit thrown into one.
Like I said the shoes are new and from George at Asda, who are killing it with the clothes, shoes and accessories at the moment. I’ve always been a huge supporter of supermarket brands and with Asda consistantly producing quality clothing it’s clear to see why. These shoes were £12 and the perfect addition to my footweat wardrobe. I’ve been looking for the perfect pair of black court heels that would be good for work/interviews but also nights out with a heel that is chunkier and smaller so that I can actually walk in them and these fit that bill perfectly.
So there you have it, the first of my 2015 Spring outfits and there will definitely be many, many more to come.
