Today, I bring you some new music from pop punk quartet My Favorite Runner Up. The Welsh band have recently released their new single ‘Never Again’, the second single to be taken from their 2014 debut LP ‘Crossroads’. The video premiered on MUZU.TV last week and starts of the band’s 2015 off properly. You can check out the video below:

This latest release starts with guitar strums that rise and fall before drum beats and harmonious vocals come in offering a an upbeat, pop punk feel even though the tempo isn’t particularly fast. The song flows well throughout taking us from verse to chorus and back to verse seamlessly through slight chord changes and great rhythm that is the cornerstone of this. It is a great track with a catchy feel and well easily become a highlight of their set lists over tours to come.

‘Crossroads’ saw the band championed by the likes of Big Cheese and Rocksound magazines and their first music video single ‘Poison’ featuring on the likes of Kerrang TV and Scuzz TV. All that along with Radio 1 airplay, a support slot for Tonight Alive and featuring on the bill of last year’s Slam Dunk festival.

It seems like 2014 was a great year for the band and this year should build on all that success as after the single release the band are now currently on a UK tour. Taking in everywhere from Manchester to Norwich to London over the course of a week packed full of gigs. To find out more about their current tour visit here.
