After receiving a multitude of new music submissions over the last month or so since this year started I have been working hard to bring you all the new music you need to hear for 2015. Today, I bring you some of new videos from three new acts, all very different but also all very good. Check out the tracks below and see for yourself.
FLAUNT – Have I Made My Point?
US act FLAUNT has recently released his new single ‘Have I Made My Point?’ featuring Justin Jennings. With eclectic influences, this one offers a cinematic atmosphere throughout the track. Opening with slow sounds and a deep bass line gives this track a sultry feel from the off, it is something that carries on through the rest of the track with drawn out guitar and vocals and steady rhythmical drums. The calm melodies give a chilled out feel to this one and is a pretty brilliant piece of music.
Centre Excuse – Control
With synth sounds, fast drum beats and a quick guitar line makes for a synth pop anthem that is bound to get stuck in your head. My only issue is that the repetitive lyrics with their slightly monotone vocal delivery do get a bit lost against all of the frantic and upbeat sounds of the music but with a few more harmonies or the music being taken down a little it would sort that slight issue out. Apart from that, this a great electronic pop/rock song from East London based Centre Excuse and I look forward to hearing more from them in the future.
Officer – The Waters
This Glasgow born artist moved to Northern Ireland back in the height of the troubles which turned out to be a huge inspiration on his life and musical career. Finding his solace in bands such as The Clash and Radiohead along with pub folk music, short stories and poetry. This new track is released this month and features a fast paced vocal delivery, a quick bassline, padding drums and an almost desperate atmosphere. It is a great track full of urgency and some interesting sounds, more than worthy of the attention of many.
