new music: Eyebrow

Today, I’m bringing you some new music from ambient jazz duo Eyebrow. The pair released their latest Tim Allen [Bat For Lashes] produced album ‘Garden City’ via Ninety and Nine Records in November 2014 and it has already gained great praise from many corners of the music blogging internet. You can check out ‘Thaw’ taken from the album below:

Soft sounds of ambient noise and padding drums with occassional cymbal hits opens this one. It is a long track coming in at over 13 minutes long but the calming sounds and intermittent soaring notes adds an atmopsheric quality to this as well as a change in tone entirely. It is a track very different from a lot of other things you’ll be hearing this year and though long you never lose interest throughout as the drums pick up pace and other sounds are constantly added throughout. A great feat of a track.

Formed back in 2009, this duo aim to improvise and reassess the basic structures of music and in particular jazz. It makes for some brilliant tracks and wonderful pieces of music that will truly interest and intrigue you. With this their third release, it seems like they really have mastered their craft and created a really great piece of work.
