new music: These Reigning Days – Thrones

Alt/rock trio These Reigning Days from the South West have had a whirlwind 6 months having supported Bon Jovi in Milan, playing the main stage at Polish Woodstock, supporting Metronomy for their very first gig and now their track ‘Thrones’ is to be featured on the new Fifa 15 soundtrack. The single which features in the ‘Goals of the Week’ section of the game can be heard below:

The track is an upbeat and catchy one from the off with soaring vocals moments and crashing cymbals. The verses are slightly quieter but still fast faced with a great bass line, some atmospheric synths and melodic vocals. It is a real standout track and an obvious choice for a soundtrack for a game with its rhythms that will make you want to dance, oscillating spacey elecronics and great hooks.

Everything that they have managed to achieve over such a small period of time is not only impressive but has also seen the band attract global interest from fans and the press alike. UK radio stations already have them on their playlists and the likes of Music Week had this to say about the band; “They have real scope and majesty about the music. They sound as though they are made for festivals an arenas.”

After such a great 2014 and an exciting start to 2015 already, this year is set to be big for the band so make sure you keep an eye on them and their debut album ‘Opera of Love’ due to be released later this year.
