Dinner and a Suit – Can’t Get Enough

Nashville four piece Dinner and a Suit have recently released their ‘Stay’ EP, four great tracks which sees the above track ‘Can’t Get Enough’ opening proceedings. Guitar feedback brings us into this before quick drum beats and melodic guitar hooks play us up to the inclusion of vocals that add to those great melodies created by the instruments. This is a great track that will see you involuntarily nodding your head at the very least, those infectious touches really do get stuck in your head making this a track hard to ignore and not fall in love with. It is a song with a serious lyrical tone with ‘it’s stuck in my head and it’s bringing me down’ and ‘I know I should give it up but I can’t get enough’ but that is masked slightly by the uptempo rhythms of this excellent track.

Six piece Norwegian band Kid Astray are a band that come recommended to me and their dreamy yet infectious tracks are just my thing especially as the soundtrack for cold winter days. With oscillating synths bringing us into this track before an upbeat atmosphere, great beats and synth pop goodness come in making this track sickly sweet and addictive in the best possible way. If you are after a band that sounds like M83 mixed with the likes of Foster The People then this sextet are the act for you, press play and get your dancing shoes on for this one.
