Maroon Aztec Pattern Blazer – New Look / White Sheer & Lace Shirt – Urban Outfitters / Tiger Leggings – Drop Dead Clothing / Burgundy Boots – New Look / Maroon Bag – Primark / Gold Chain Necklace – H&M / Watch – Casio
After a week off from outfit posts I’m back with an outfit that I absolutely adore. I’ve taken a lot of interest from Pinterest for styling outfits recently with my attention drawing more towards minimal fashion and lots of tailoring. This is my own take on some of the slightly plainer outfits that have inspired me making the focus all about clean lines and complimenting colours.
I actually started this outfit from the leggings which I adore so much, I bought them earlier this year from Drop Dead in the sale and they are just perfect. They fit me better than any other leggings I’ve ever bought and for that reason I feel so much more confident and stylish wearing them, there is something about a pair of good fitting leggings or trousers that just makes you feel better about yourself in my opinion. Teaming it with a white shirt was something that was always bound to work. After my quest for the perfect white shirt ended this year when I picked up this beauty from Urban Outfitters, it is something I have been dying to wear and style with many pieces I own. This was its first outing and I think it was a good one.
Adding one of my favourite blazers, this maroon aztec print one from New Look, my new burgundy New Look boots which I absolutely adore [best purchase of 2014 for sure] and my new maroon bag from Primark which I got for a mere £1 finished this look well, pulling everything together with a subtle but effective shade that worked with the bright colours of the leggings. And yes I do have a bit of an obsession with maroon/burgundy but it is such a great shade.
A comfortable and stylish outfit that would work for anytime from daytime shopping to date night meals or nights out with the girls. What is your opinion on my twist on basic tailoring?
