new music: Morain

Wakefield indie/rock quartet Morain have spent the past few years plugging away making guitar heavy music with a truly British edge, it is that sound that has seen them named as ‘one to watch’ by HMV this year. Their latest EP ‘World’s Apart’ is available to download free now from their Bandcamp page and features four tracks that feature catchy guitar hooks and wonderful soaring melodies throughout.

The track above is the band’s most recent offering, and an exclusive via No Rest Press, which is a cover of ‘So Alive’ by Ryan Adams. Having truly brought their own take to this classic track, the band have proved that they not only have some serious talent but a great ear for music and this is a cover sure to impress many.

The band have already toured with the likes of Canterbury, Coasts and Sons & Lovers in the past but this November/December will see them off again on a co-headline slot with Brighton’s Glass City Vice which will start out in Birmingham on 29th Nov and finish up in Wakefield on 3rd Dec, find out more here.
