new music: Lauren Bannon

This week, I’m going to bring to your attention singer/songwriter Lauren Bannon who blends acoustic tracks and magnificent voice that leads each and every track. It’s a combination that blew me away from the off and this is why I’m writing about her now because although she is in the very early stages of her career, there is something very special about this girl.

The above track is the first single and title track taken from her recently released debut EP ‘Jukebox’. The EP itself is 4 tracks long and features well produced and remarkably crafted songs. Throughout this track, and the EP as a whole, Bannon’s vocals are loaded with emotion through the alluring and rich tone she has to her voice. That is all backed up by sparse and melodic sounds from softly strummed guitar and tinkling piano which builds to dancing piano lines and catchy acoustic riffs.

With a steady following building up behind her and having recently signed to Ugly Duck Recordings, it does look like things are really starting to get moving for this singer/songwriter who really does, in my opinion, deserve lots of success.
