Tropical Playsuit – New Look / Monochrome Diamond Print Coat – New Look / Pewter Sandals – Primark / Black and Gold Box Clutch – H&M / Gold Chain – H&M

I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with my face in half of these pictures, I either look grumpy or like an idiot, it’s a cross I have to bear on a daily basis. Anyway, less about my stupid face and more about this quite nice outfit. As I mentioned in the daytime outfit post featuring this playsuit [which you can read here] this piece is one of my favourite purchases I have made this year. The playsuit is extremely comfortable and fits so well and that teamed with the tropical print means it is a complete winner in my book.

For a slightly more evening appropriate look, I thought I would smarten the casual playsuit up with this lightweight boxy oversized coat from New Look which is another recent purchase. I bought this in the sale and it was down from £40 to £15 which is a mega bargain for the quality of the piece. This could easily become a great transitional season coat for me as I don’t really have many of those and the monochrome colour scheme means that whatever season or outfit, it will always look good and keep me warm.

Teaming it with my pewter sandals which I adore and were the best £18 I ever spent in Primark. I wore them so much in Paris on nights out and honestly I could walk for miles in them, they were that comfortable something I never find with heels of any kind. They are quite big and for someone already pretty tall they are the type of shoe I would only wear occasionally but when I do they are a favourite. The box clutch I also love, it may not be extremely practical as I can barely fit anything in it but it’s so lovely I don’t care.

I do love this outfit and I think it would be perfect for summer evenings especially if it is a bit chilly with the lightweight coat to take off the typical English summer chill of evenings and nights.

What do you think about this night-time outfit?
