So these outfit pictures were taken before I went to Paris a couple of weeks ago hence the long coat and boots still being present in my outfit. Since I’ve come back home I’ve been spoilt by quite good weather so it’s not been to difficult a transition but I’m still crying out for days without having to wear tights like I did in Paris which resulted in me slightly burning my legs. Typical of me to sit in the sun for 10 minutes while away and get burnt but I’m never one to break tradition.
Anyway onto the outfit, I really love this. The colours, patterns and different textures all work quite well together I think. Since getting this new pleather skirt for a bargain price on eBay it’s become a staple of my wardrobe as it’s so simple to style up with everything else I own. This vest has been languishing in my wardrobe since last summer as it’s way too thin and too little material for British winters but come Spring/Summer worn with a vest underneath with shorts or a skirt or over the top of a basic black underdress it will be perfect, simple yet stylish.
I’ve already expressed my love for the coat and the boots on here a lot this winter so I’ll not bother doing that again and the fact that they are featured again speaks volumes for my love for them or maybe my lack of imagination towards layering at the end of winter. The necklace is one of my favourites, I love owls and saw this one day in a shop in York and snapped it up immediately and has been much worn ever since. The bag I commandeered on one of my many trips to Cardiff a couple of years ago, again from a vintage store that is in one of the arcades [Castle Arcade I think]. It was super cheap and has become yet another staple of my wardrobe perfect for nights out and gigs but also big enough for throwing in a few things for daytime too.
Hopefully this will be one of my last wintery outfits on the blog, are you as excited as I am to pack away the jumpers and coats in favour of some pretty summer dresses and festival style shorts?
