Jacket – Matalan / Dress – Primark / Boots – Dorothy Perkins / Bag – eBay / Amber Ring – Amazon
Finally, it is starting to look a little bit like Spring outside and I’m so glad as much as I love layers and wrapping up warm there is only so many grey skies and rainy days you can look at before you long for something different. I’ve said many times that I love Spring and when it’s just starting that is one of my favourite times, waiting for the warmth but experiencing some of the magic, the promise of Easter and getting prepared for a new season and a new start, spring clean and spring throw out all the old stuff.
All that leads to my outfit, the dress is a new purchase to replace some of the things I have gotten rid of recently and add something new to my wardrobe. The dress was £3 in Primark, yes £3! I knew I had to have it. They only had about 3 dresses left and luckily one was in my size. I went straight to the till to pay for this and wore it a couple of days later for a family meal. In terms of fit it is perfect, it fits my waist perfectly, it’s a really good length, I like the way it’s slightly puffed out at the top, goes in at the waist and flares back out as a skirt and the half cut sleeves I think are perfect for the cut. The colours though dark and would work perfectly as part of the ‘winter florals’ trend also translates over to spring and the inevitable amount of florals and flower related everything that brings out.
Teaming it with my biker jacket, a piece that goes with absolutely everything in my wardrobe and is so easy to wear, it’s a true wardrobe staple. The new pewter boots from Dorothy Perkins which I still absolutely adore and wear practically all the time and my purple bag from eBay which is just perfect for the hoards of stuff I carry about with me. The amber ring is a new purchase from Amazon, it was very cheap [less than £5] so I was a bit little worried about the quality of it but it’s a really good and nice ring. It’s obviously not real silver but it is of good enough quality, I like the slight little celtic knotting and the amber stone is lovely. I’ve been after an amber ring for a while and I definitely think this will suffice until I find the perfect one, I definitely can’t complain for how cheap and how decent quality it is.
What do you think about florals for Spring? Yes, it’s not exactly groundbreaking [throwing in the Devil Wears Prada references] but will you be participating in wearing florals this Spring?
