Sheffield five piece Inherit The Stars are back this month with the release of their brand new single and video for the brilliant ‘Ground Zero’. Check out the song below:
Kicking straight in with screamed vocals of ‘This is Ground Zero, are you ready to go?’ and you better hope you were ready from the start because the song never really gives up it’s relentless noise. Synths run throughout pounded drums, crashing cymbals and intricate, fast paced guitar before the chugging riffs take over in the chorus. This one is a brilliant song showing how much the band have grown sound wise, sounding tighter and better than ever before while still remaining true to their roots and metal/hardcore influences.
Having already released a wonderful debut album ‘We Were Made To Walk The Skies’ earlier this year that I reviewed on this blog, the quintet are back with this brand new song. The single is the final part of the band’s Orbis Triology of videos/singles, which has also seen singles and videos for tracks – ‘Citizens of Earth’ and ‘Caught In The Crossfire’, videos for both you can check out on the band’s YouTube page.
The alt-rock band have been crowned as an exciting young band to keep your eye on and I completely agree with that, they are one hell of a good band and even better they are from my city. Mixing metalcore, pop punk, alt-rock and post-hardcore creates a sound that packs one hell of a punch and you can’t help but take notice of the amazing sound this young band are making.
Having added a new drummer in the form of Jordan Rabjohn to their line up, the band also consisting of vocalist Daniel Jeffery, guitarists Chris Brayshaw and Theo Egginton and bassist Lewis Wild are now ready to start their next chapter following on from the success they had with their first album. New material has already been written and recorded and releases are set out already, it’s surely set to be an exciting 2014 for the lads from the Steel City.
